Acupuncture is now available!

Lauren Berendt, L.Ac. is now offering acupuncture appointments! Click Here to Schedule or read F.A.Q, Or book by calling 330-346-0393 Available services: Acupuncture – Acupuncture is an ancient system of medicine that aims at the creation and maintenance of health along with the treatment of pain and disease.  In acupuncture, it is understood that any sickness or symptom is the result of some imbalance of energy in the body as a whole.  Acupuncture is a means of readjusting or balancing the energy in us: we can improve the quality, redistribute the quantity, and free the energy to flow more smoothly.  Whether the client has knee pain, a headache, indigestion, or severe depression, it is understood that these signals the mind-body-spirit produces express the same thing: that within the person is an imbalance of this vital energy.  The practitioner uses the fourteen meridians to evaluate the state of energy within.  These meridians, along with other diagnostic tools and information provided by the client, begin to tell us what is wrong and how to put it right. (Initial Treatment $105.00, Follow Up Treatment $80.00) Student and Pediatric Rates Available   Stress Buster Treatment – Ease stress and tension quickly with a 30 minute acupuncture Stress Buster treatment! Clients will remain fully clothes and may choose to remain seated or lay on their backs. Needles as fine and flexible as cat whiskers will be placed at stress reduction points following the NADA protocol. (30-minute session for $40.00)   Cupping Therapy – Cupping therapy involves placing specialized cups which create suction on the surface of the skin. The suction creates a negative pressure and slightly pulls the skin, fascia and muscle tissue into the cup. It is a comfortable process which only lasts a few minutes. Cupping therapy is used to relieve pain, increase circulation and treat migraines and high blood pressure. Many people are familiar with the cupping in the 2016 Olympics. Not every body gets cupping marks, although it is fairly common and is not painful like a bruise is. Cupping marks generally disappear within one week and people generally notice improvement of their condition immediately after the cupping session.  (30-minute session for $40.00)   Cranio Sacral Therapy – This form of light touch therapy regulates the flow of cerebrospinal fluid which nourishes the brain, spinal cord and nerves.  When the fluid is restricted, it may manifest in  a variety of problems.  When the fluid is free flowing as nature intended, health may be restored.  Patients usually report deep relaxation, a sense of well being and improved sleep. (60-minute session for...
