Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during my acupuncture appointment?
Acupuncture treatments are generally 1 to 1.5 hours in length.  In addition to acupuncture, appointments may involve Cranio Sacral Therapy, Tui Na (also known as Asian Bodywork),  and/or Reiki Session will consist of:
  • Tongue Evaluation
  • Pulse Diagnostic
  • Acupuncture Treatment
  • Tui Na, Cupping, or Gua Sha as needed
  • Plan for course of treatment
  • Educational Materials as recommended by practitioner

How much does acupuncture cost?
Every new client will begin with an Initial Treatment.  All other appointments, regardless on length in between sessions, will be a the Follow Up Treatment Rate.  A reduced rate is also offered for pediatric and student appointments.

Initial Treatment – $105
Follow Up Treatment – $80
Multiple Treatments per week – $70 each

Cupping Session – $40
Stress Buster Treatment – $40

Does insurance cover my session?
A growing number of insurance companies will reimburse for acupuncture treatments. Please consult with your individual insurance provider. Full payment for treatment is due at the time of service and a receipt will be provided to submit for reimbursement. Acupuncture is a Health Savings Account eligible medical expense. Additionally, we are proud to be a non-faculty acupuncture provider for the VA. Currently, the VA approves acupuncture treatments for pain management. Please contact your VA MD for authorization and tell them that you’d like to receive treatments at Centerpeace. 

Cancellation Policy:
If for any reason you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we ask that you give 24 hour notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hour notice will be charged the regular appointment fee.
